On this I am sharing some useful links. The links are divided into the sections car rental, places to sleep (hotels, hostels, etc), transportation (airliners, trains, coaches etc) and information. On this page you will find all the maps I have made on Google MyMaps with tips to museums, shops, places to eat and such in many of the cities I have been to.

Hostels, hotels, car rentals and so on

  • Airbnb.com - Site for renting rooms in peoples homes, apartments, etc.
  • avis.com - Avis is a company where you can rent cars.
  • booking.com - Site for booking 60000+ hotels worldwide.
  • Europe's famous hostels. This site lists the best and most famous hostels in Europe. If you choose one of these you are guaranteed a good experience. You can book hostels directly from the page.
  • Generator hostels - I like to stay at these hostels. Generator is present in many cities and use whole buildings. They have everything from family rooms and double rooms to dorms.
  • hertz.com - Hertz is another company where you can rent cars.
  • Hotels.com - Site for booking hotels, bed & breakfast++
  • hostelworld.com is my go-to place when booking hostels.
  • InterCity Hotels - During my round trip in Germany i stayed at this chain of hotels in several cities. The hotels were located very central, had friendly staff and nice and clean hotels.
  • momondo.com - Site for cheap hotels, airplanes and cars.

Guided tours

  • Freetour.com is a global booking platform that connects travelers with free and budget-friendly tours in over 140 countries. All their guides are local gudes.
  • Getyourgude.com also has several guided tours in various cities.
  • Sandemans new Europe is a pioneering tour company best known for creating the free walking tour concept in 2003. It operates in 20+ cities under its own brand across Europe, the Middle East, and the USA. The company also has partners with local operators in 60+ destinations worldwide.
